Can someone be called an unsung hero when they have already won an award? We’re not sure. However one thing is for sure, Sally Hinchcliffe works tirelessly not only for PoP but for The Cycling Embassy of Great Britain, Cycling Dumfries, Women on Wheels (including the Women’s Cycling Forum) and for herself, writing City Exile. All this for little reward.
Sally’s quantity certainly doesn’t mean she compromises on quality though. We at PoP towers know just how vital her ideas, writing and sheer dedication to just getting things DONE are to our wee operation! So when we heard that Sally was up for the Total Women’s Cycling – Unsung Cycling Heroine award we all gave a big hoo-raa! Sally is up against some amazing competition, although knowing that Sally is amazing means that we know she could be a worthy winner. We wish Sally good luck along with all the other award contenders.
