The indomitable Philip Ward (composer of our POP song and bike-borne guitar player extraordinaire) has organised an assault on the Andy Murray golden postbox in Dunblane. Anyone in the area who’d like to see better conditions for cycling is invited to come along at 4pm (note new time) on Sunday the 16th to the High Street in Dunblane for a mass postcard posting.
And that’s not all – as well as events in Edinburgh and Glasgow there’s an event taking shape in Dumfries, and possibly in Aberdeen. If you want to organise something in your area then get in touch – but if you can’t make any of them and haven’t the time to get something going then you can still take part. The main thing is to contact your councillors and tell them what you’d like to see improved in your village or town or city to secure a real golden legacy for cycling. And then let us know – via facebook, or email or twitter, using the hashtag #goldenlegacy
Oh and don’t forget -we’ll be at the finish of Pedal for Scotland in Edinburgh tomorrow handing out postcards and spreading the word. If you’re taking part, please stop by and say hello!
