… However you get there, please do join us for the mass mobilisation in Glasgow!
It’s a month to go till the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice on November 6th and we want to extend an invitation to all and sundry to join us on the big march in Glasgow.
We’ve been busy organising feeder rides from every corner of Glasgow and from further afield — and a massive thank you to everyone who’s got in touch with their plans so far — but we know not everyone can make it by pedal power, and that’s okay!
However you can get yourselves there, if you think that bikes — or any form of sustainable transport — must be part of the solution to the climate crisis, then please join us at noon in Kelvingrove Park ready to march to get that message across – you can sign up here to let us know you’re coming.
If you want to get more involved and aren’t on a feeder ride, you can also sign up as a steward for our bloc on the day, to help make sure the event runs safely and smoothly for everyone – you can sign up to volunteer here (please DO say that you’re part of the cycling bloc when you do, so they know you’re one of ours).
The march itself will be huge, with all sorts of groups represented in a kaleidoscope of blocs from indigenous people to migrants and land workers. We’re forming the Cycling Bloc (Sustainable Transport) and we want to see as many people as possible unite under our banner ‘This Machine Fights Climate Change‘ – and not just those who’ve pedalled with us on one of our feeder rides. Whether you come by bike or by bus, on a train or on foot, come along – bring your flags and banners, your signs, your family, your friends, and everyone you know to make this march absolutely massive.
Whatever your involvement, and however you arrive, you’ll be adding your voice to hundreds of thousands around the world. We’ll see you there!
